Chai-Spiced Almond Carrot Kheer

Ingredients

PREPARATION

  • 4 cups oat milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 3/4 cup almonds
  • 3 carrots
  • 4 tsp Prana Kitchens Chai Masala
  • a few strands of saffron
  • 1 cup muscovado sugar or raw cane sugar
  • Soak almonds for 30 minutes in warm water so you can remove the skin.
  • Peel, cut, and cook carrots in 1/2 cup of oat milk.
  • Grind everything together except the saffron strands, to a smooth paste.
  • Bring to a slow boil, add saffron strands, and remove from the fire.
  • Cool completely and chill for 4 to 6 hours and enjoy a delicious kheer!
